The Eastview Sophomore Baseball team fell behind early against Prior Lake and fall 10-4 to the Lakers on Thursday night. The Lakers started the first inning with four runs on a double and single that brought runners in. The Lightning bounced back in the bottom of the first inning with three runs of their own. Ian George led the game off with a double that bounced off the fence. Dane Boraas reached on an error and Jay Svaren reached on a drop third strike. Ryan Brouchet also had a single to keep the inning alive and score Boraas. Svaren scored on a Brouchet stolen base. The Lakers continued their high power hitting and scored two runs in the second, third, and fourth to take the lead. George had two hits, Brouchet one hit, and Drew Steenson got one hit for the Lightning offense. Eric Zipf, Ian George, and Joey Garofano shared the pitching duties. Next up is a home contest against Shakopee on Monday. GO Lightning!
