Tuesday evening saw the Eastview girls’ lacrosse team win a conference matchup against Burnsville 21-17. The offensive fireworks started early and continued the entire game. The Blaze and Lightning exchanged four lead changes in the first half. Burnsville had a 9 to 8 lead going into the intermission. Eastview took control of the game early in the second half with a run of three goals to start the period. Burnsville would tie the score at 11-11 with 20:35 left in the game. However, the Lightning would put together another three-goal run to never relinquish the lead and never let the Blaze get closer than two goals after that.
Leading the scoring for the Lightning were Annie Luzum (7 goals), Jessica Wilhelm (6 gs, 1 ast), Mackenzie Chvatal (2 gs, 1 ast), Claire Jordahl (2 gs), Chloe Benadum (2 gs), Kayla Doyle (1 g), and Bella Munz (1 g). The Lightning next host South Suburban Conference rival Eagan, Thursday May 16th at 7:30 PM.
