The Girls Varsity Hockey team lost a heartbreaker to the Farmington Tigers on Saturday in their regular-season finale, 4-3 in overtime. The Tigers lept out to a 1-0 lead just 16 seconds into the game, but the Lightning struck back with Mikayla Kelley on the power play, assisted by Brynn Swenson. The second period saw the Tigers recapture the lead with a pair of goals. Once again, the Lightning tied it up by striking twice at Schmitz-Maki Arena, first with a Swenson power play goal in the second and then with a Nora Stepan bolt from the blue line on a pass from Natalie Bordson. Five and a half minutes into overtime, the Tigers shot a dart into the net for the game winner. Amelia Julian snared a season-high 45 saves in goal for Eastview.
