The Eastview Varsity Girls basketball team opened up conference play against Rosemount on Tuesday night. With a balanced attack on both ends of the floor, the Lightning were able to pull out the 57-36 victory, moving them to 4-0 overall, and 1-0 in the South Suburban Conference. The Lightning finished the game shooting a season high 51% from the field. Eastview was led in scoring by Andrea Abrams, who finished with 15 points. Abrams also finished with 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Megan Walstad and Emma Carpenter followed with 13 and 10 points respectively. Walstad also grabbed 4 rebounds, while Carpenter had 2 rebounds and dished out a team high 5 assists. Macy Guebert was active on both ends of the floor as she finished with 5 points, 3 assists and 2 rebounds,
while Cassidy Carson also finished with 5 points, to go along with 2 rebounds. Mariah Alipate (3 points, 2 rebounds), Courtney Carson (3 points, 2 rebounds), Lauren Glas (2 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists), and Jordan Morris (1 point, 4 rebounds) rounded out the scoring for the Lightning.
Eastview returns to play on Tuesday, December 12th, at home against Lakeville North. Game time is set for 7:00. Come cheer on and support the girls as they face off against the Panthers! Go Lightning!!
