The Eastview Varsity Girls basketball team ended the week 3-0 by defeating Farmington on Friday night, 57-42. With the win, Eastview moves to 21-0 overall, and 13-0 in the South Suburban Conference. The Lightning were able to shoot 53% from the field, while holding Farmington to 37% shooting. Eastview finished with 3 girls in double figures, led by 19 points (8/11 FG’s) from Mariah Alipate. Alipate also led the Lightning with 6 rebounds on the night. Megan Walstad followed with 16 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals; while Macy Guebert chipped in 11 points, 3 steals and 2 assists. Andrea Abrams finished with 8 points, while Emma Carpenter finished with 3 points. Abrams also grabbed 4 rebounds, 2 steals and had 2 assists, while Carpenter led Eastview with 7 assists while also grabbing 2 rebounds.
Eastview returns to play on Tuesday, February 13th at home against Lakeville South. Game time is set for 7:00. Come cheer on and support the girls as they face off against the Cougars! Go Lightning!!
