The JV Girls Basketball team lost a hard fought battle to Lakeville North Friday night. The team was within 5 points of the Panthers with under 3 minutes left in the game. They were forced to start fouling and Lakeville took care of business from the freethrow line, ending the game with a 12 point margin. Robyn Dayton and Vanessa Wright led the scoring with 9 each, with Dayton pulling down 4 boards and Wright leading the team with 4 steals. Lauren Machacek and Ellie Fulford were the leading rebounders with 5 each. Other scorers for the Lightning were Savanah Gardner, Caitlyn Han, Madi Wodele, Machacek, Claire Pepin and Olivia Ward. The Lightning were a perfect 10 for 10 from the freethrow line.
