The Eastview Sophomore Baseball team lost a heartbreaker to Burnsville 6-5 on Monday night. With the game tied in the 7th inning, the Lightning scored two runs in the top frame after a double by Brady Steenson, a beautiful bunt by Isaiah Heimer, a fielder’s choice, and a throwing error. The Blaze rallied in the bottom half of the inning scoring two runs on a single with two outs to end the game. Steenson and Josh Breuer had two hits each to lead the Lightning offense. Jack Pepin started the game on the mound pitching five innings allowing six hits, one earned run, and striking out four innings. Next up for the Lightning (7-5 overall record) is an away game at Lakeville South on Wednesday. Go Lightning!
