The Eastview Alpine girls finished 4th last night at Buck Hill right behind their Eagan teammates whom they have been trading spots with all season. After two weeks of very fast courses, Thursday’s night course was set up with a greater degree of difficulty meaning it was a more technical course. While there were not as many falls on the night, there were a lot of missed gates, backtracking, and expletives as seen and heard by the gate judges. Eastview was without star senior Kate Young but sister freshman Megan Young led the way for Eastview with a 9th place finish.
Junior Katelyn McClure followed that up with a 14th place finish overall. Elsa Youngberg continued to improve week over week and finished 23rd overall. Next for Eastview was Ellen Heunisch who finished 32nd overall and then Lilly Spade and Kylie Nelson finished 35th in a very rare tie situation. Emma Huppert was close behind to finish 39th overall. Next week will mark the final varsity event of the season.
