The Eastview Swim and Dive team honored their team’s senior class this past Monday, during their home meet against Prior Lake. Eastview came up short in the meet, losing by a score of 97 to 87. Individual highlights follow.
In the 200 Medley, team Montgomery, Poppitz, Panikkar, and Greseth came in first; team Kunisaki, DeSutter, Chambers, and Dressler fourth, and team Gloege Torp, Portnov, Lilly, and Blodgett fifth. In the 200 free, Thompson was first, Lambert fifth, and Gray was sixth. J. Poppitz was second in the IM, Kunisaki was fourth, and St. Clair fifth. Greseth won the 50 free, Panikkar came in third, and Montgomery was sixth. In diving, Sulistyo was third and Sprung was fifth. In the butterfly, St. Clair was third, Chambers fifth, and Kovacs was sixth. Panikkar took second in the 100 free, followed by Gray in fifth and Dressler in sixth. Greseth, Thompson and Fisher took second, third, and sixth, respectively in the 500 free. In the 200 relay, team Lambert, J. Poppitz, Thompson, and St. Clair took second; team Dressler, Gray, Blodgett, and Wefring took fifth, and team Chambers, Loomis, Fisher and Robinson sixth. Montgomery won the 100 backstroke, followed by Kunisaki in third, and M. Poppitz in fifth. J. Poppitz won the breaststroke, Lambert took third, and DeSutter was fifth. In the 400 relay, team Panikkar, Thompson, St. Clair, and Greseth took first; team M. Poppitz, Dressler, Gray and Montgomery was second.
The Junior Varsity team also lost their meet, falling to Prior Lake by a score of 93 to 81. Individual highlights follow.
Team Wefring, Robinson, Dyakin, and Loomis won the 200 medley relay, while team Dalzell, Clark, Yalamamchili and Holmen took fourth. In the 200 free, Fisher was first, Kovacs third, and Olson fifth. Robinson and DeSutter took the top two places in the 200 IM. In the 50 free, Blodgett was second, Wefring third, and Loomis sixth. Lilly and Dyakin placed first and third, respectively, in the 100 butterfly. In the 100 free, Wefring was second and Olson fourth. In the 200 free relay, team Dyakin, Portnov, Olson, and Holmen placed second and team Johnson, Strung, Sulistyo and Yalamamchili came in fourth. Gloege Torp won the backstroke, followed by Clark in third and Dalzell in fourth. in the breastroke, Portnov was first and Robinson was fourth. Team Kovacs, Lilly, Loomis, and Gloege Torp won their 400 relay.
Sections are next with prelims on February 21 and finals on February 23.
