The Eastview Boys Swim and Dive team was victorious in their meet against Rosemount this past Friday evening. The meet was held in Rosemount.

Individual highlights include a first place finish in the 200 medley for team Montgomery, St. Claire, J. Poppitz, and Panikkar. Other Eastview finishers in the 200 medley include team Kunisaki, DeSutter, M. Poppitz, and Blodgett in fourth and team Gloege Torp, Portnov, Chambers, and Wefring. Greseth, Thompson, and Lambert placed first, second, and fourth, respectively, in the 200 free. In the 200 IM, J. Poppitz touched first, St. Clair third and Kunisaki fourth. Panikkar was second in the 50 free, followed by Montgomery in third and Blodgett in sixth. Eastview’s divers also came out on top with Sulistyo in first, Johnson, third, and Sprung in sixth. In the 100 butterfly, Panikkar and Lambert were first and second, respectively, and Chambers was sixth. St Clair swam to a second place finish in the 100 free, followed by M. Poppitz in fifth and Dressler in sixth. Greseth secured another first place finish in the 500, followed by Thompson in second, and Gray in fourth. Eastview’s 200 free relay team of Panikkar, J. Poppitz, Lambert, and Greseth placed first, while team M. Poppitz, Chambers, Wefring, and Thompson were fourth and team Robinson, Loomis, Olson, and Dressler were sixth. In the backstroke, Montgomery was first, Kunisaki second, and Gloege Torp sixth.

The junior varsity team fell to Rosemount, posting a team score of 68 to 100. Junior varsity highlights include first and second place finishes in the 200 free for Fisher and Dressler, respectively, and a sixth place finish for Clark. Gray touched first in the 200 IM followed by Kovacs in second. In the 50 free, Holmen was fourth. Eastview JV divers Hagen and Hayes placed second and third, respectively. In the 100 butterfly, Lilly placed second. in the 100 free, Wefring was third, Olson fifth, and Loomis sixth. In the 500 free, Fisher touched first, Kovacs second, and Clark sixth. The 200 free relay team of Sulistyo, Hagen, Johnson, and Sprung touched first, and Lilly, Holmen, DeSutter, and Portnov were third. Blodgett placed second in the 100 backstroke; and, in the 100 breaststroke, Robinson and Olson placed fourth and fifth. In the last race of the evening, team Loomis, Clark, Blodgett and Chambers swam to a second place finish.

Eastview’s next meet takes place next Friday, January 12, 2018, at home.
