The Eastview Boys Swim and Dive team posted another win this week, beating Apple Valley by a score of 98 to 80. Individual highlights follow.
The Eastview 200 medley relay team of Montgomery, J Poppitz, Greseth, and Panikkar placed first; team M. Poppitz, Lambert, Gray, and Wefring second; and team Dressler, Portnov, Kovacs, and Fisher placed fifth. In the 200 free, Thompson was first and Chambers was third. Lambert placed first in the 200 IM, and Fisher was fifth. Panikkar and Montgomery touched second and third in the 50 free, followed by Wefring in fifth. Sulistyo placed first in diving, followed by Johnson in fourth and Sprung in fifth. St. Clair and Montgomery were first and second in the butterfly, respectively, and M Poppitz was sixth. In the 100 free, Gray placed second, Blodgett third, and Gloege Torp was fourth. Panikkar, Lambert, and Kovacs touched second, third, and fourth, respectively in the 500 free. The 200 relay team of Thompson, Montgomery, Greseth, and St. Clair won the 200 free relay; team Wefring, Gray, Blodgett, and Kunisaki were third; and team DeSutter, Fisher, Chambers, and Robinson were fourth. Greseth, J. Poppitz, and M. Poppitz swept the top three finishes in the 100 backstroke.
The junior varsity team also enjoyed a successful night in the pool, besting Apple Valley by a score of 114 to 29. Individual highlights follow.
Gloege Torp placed first in the 200 free. Lilly, Dressler, and Robinson touched first, second, and third, respectively, in the 200 IM. Meanwhile, J. Poppitz, Dyakin, and Olson scored the top three places in the 50 free. Hayes placed first in JV diving. In the 100 butterfly, Lilly was first and DeSutter was second. In the 100 free, Portnov was first and Yalamamchili was fifth. Kunisaki, Dressler, and Dyakin placed first, second, and third, respectively in the 500 free. In the 200 relay, team Portnov, Kovacs, Gloege Torp, and Lilly were first; team Dalzell, Holmen, Yalamamchili and Dyakin were second; and team Johnson, Strung, Sulistyo, and Hayes were third. Blodgett, Wefring, Dalzell touched first, second, and third, respectively, in the 100 backstroke. In the 100 breaststroke, St. Clair, Portnov, and Loomis placed first, second and third. The 400 relay team of Dalzell, Loomis, Olson, and Greseth placed second.
