Eastview Boys Varsity Lacrosse falls to Lakeville South 14-12

It was a warm but rainy night at Eastview Stadium. Jason Hill scores first on a quick pass from Joe Stillings. LVS ties it up. Noah Desrocher goes in solo to score at 6:47. LVS ties it up. On their next possession the Lightning moves the ball around and around, Stillings from X to Hill in front. Boom, 3-2 Lightning. LVS ties it up. Jason Hill gets his hat trick in the first quarter on a skip pass from Kemper, 4-2. Then all Hill all the time- scoring again on pass from Ryan Krupke, 5-3 Eastview.

LVS scores first in 2nd QTR. Stillings gets a feed from Desrocher, dodges around a defender to get a clear shot and rifles one in for a goal. Halfway through Desrocher feeds Krupke, 7-4 Eastview. LVS gets next 3 points to tie the game 7-7. With 3 minutes left in QTR the Lightning goes on fast break. Hill gets the ball in front, a lone defender is easily dispatched and Eastview regains the lead 8-7. A minute later Desrocher dances around the defense to score unassisted. Connor Smith closes the half with a solo step down, 10-7 Eastview.

Early in 3rd QTR Taylor Dubej scores on feed from Stillings and suffers a late hit but is OK. On the next possession as LVS is man-down Hill scores with assist from Desrocher 12-7 Lightning. Then the wheels come off. LVS scores 7 unanswered goals and despite a lengthy Lightning possession and a barrage of shots the game ends with a loss 12-14.

The next game is Thursday May 10, 7pm at Apple Valley.
