Eastview Varsity Boys Lacrosse Game Summary
At Farmington Tuesday May 15 at 5:30pm

Boys Varsity Lacrosse defeats Farmington 12-1

Another lovely evening for boys lacrosse with temps in the 70’s. Eastview fans and parents marveled at the quality of the turf and design of Tiger Stadium. Despite their superior facilities the Tigers were no match for our boys Lightning Lacrosse. Noah Desrocher had great success at face offs which gave our offense many possessions. Joe Stillings scores right away, unassisted from front left. 30 seconds later Connor Smith dodges in to score from the front. A couple minutes later Jason Hill scores, low-to-high on a pass from Jake Kemper. Next Joe Thompson at ‘X’ passes to Taylor Dubej on the crease for another goal. The 1st QTR ends with a Stillings to Hill fast break, 5-0 Eastview.

The Tigers get their only goal early in the 2nd QTR . The Tigers win the next face off. Kory Barnes is a “one-man-defense” as he harasses his opponent, causes a turnover, steals the ball and runs it across the field. Later the Lightning disrupts another clear attempt and Hill (hat trick) scores on a fast break. Eastview’s tight passing makes for a successful transition and its Dubej scoring with assist from Hill. Hill scores again on a feed from Kemper and the half ends 8-1

The second half of the game has a lot of back and forth flow. When in possession the Lightning is able to keep the ball hot. Hill sees an opportunity and fires to make it 9-1. Then its Hill again cutting across the front to make it 10-1. Tyler Hendrickson finds a gap and steps down to make it 11-1. Dubej gets the last goal with assist from Carter Gavilrescu. Final score 12-1

Next game is at home this Thursday May 17 against section rivals Prior Lake. Teacher Appreciation begins at 7pm. It is also youth night with EVAA youth teams announced at half time and autograph session after the game. Be there or be square!
