The Eastview Sophomore Baseball team lost 9-8 against Farmington on Monday night. A seasaw battle, the Lightning got on the board first scoring two runs in the top of the first inning. Preston Hetland led the game off with a double to left which set up a stolen base to third base. Hetland scored on a Drew Carroll triple to right field. Carroll would then score on a past ball for the Lightning 2-0 lead. From there, the Tigers and Lightning exchanged runs before the Tigers prevailed with a one out double to score the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Hetland had a game high four hits including 2 doubles and 1 triple. Caden Berg and Drew Carroll added the other two hits for the Lightning offense. Parker Hagebok pitched the first five innings with Evan Cox and Drew Carroll sharing the final innings. Next up is an away game at Apple Valley on Wednesday. Go Lightning.
