Boys Track & Field Volunteer/Service Opportunities

Sports Cards

The EVHS Track programs are selling discount cards for fundraising this Spring.  Students are provided six cards to sell to friends, family, neighbors, or whomever.  Whenever a student sells a card(s) they may bring in the money from their sale to Coach Sharp and students will be reimbursed the money from the sale.  If students sell all six cards the money they had to pay for their uniform will be fully reimbursed and they will be able to keep their uniform for free.  Students are able to sell their cards all season long and turn in their money all season long.  However, they need to pay for their uniform before the end of the season, otherwise they will not have a uniform to compete in.  If you have questions please contact Coach Sharp (thomas.sharp@district196.org).

Greenleaf 5k

The EVHS Track Program will be helping to run the Greenleaf 5k on Saturday, April 27th.  Students are to report to Greenleaf Elementary by 10:30am and expect to remain until 12:00pm as they help with set-up, cheering, and take-down for the event.

Retiree Spring Clean-Up

Student Athletes will be participating in a Spring clean-up where they will ask businesses and members of the community for a monetary pledge to help sponsor a Spring clean-up for elderly and retired members of the Eastview community on the afternoon of May 4th.  Students need to collect 10 pledges for this opportunity. Students will meet in the morning and be divided into groups of 4-5 boys with a parent chaperone and be assigned locations to report to.  Once on location boys will aid in Spring clean-up.  Specific details about times and locations will be provided at practice and communicated via email.

We would appreciate 8-12 parent volunteers for this date.

EVHS Hosted Meets

Eastview will be hosting middle school meets (April 29 & May 8), and high school meets (April 2 -Triangular, April 9 ninth/tenth Grade Invitational, April 16 SSC quadrangular, and May 9 SSC quadrangular).  Athletes are required to help work these meets.  You will work your event and check out with your coach when the meet is concluded.  Parent and community volunteers are always welcome as well to help run a smooth and efficient meet.  Activities include timing races, marking distances in the field events, selling concessions, and officiating the meet.  If you are interested in helping please contact Coach Sharp (thomas.sharp@district196.org).
