It is the philosophy of the coaching staff that all student athletes are able to contribute to the team success through commitment, dedication, and hard work.
Practice begins the second full week of August and ends the first weekend of November. The first two weeks of practice begins at 8 am – 10:30 am, then moves to Monday-Friday 2:40 pm – 5 pm and Saturday 8 am-10:30 am for the remainder of the season. Students will need proper running attire (running shoes, shorts, t-shirt, pants, long-sleeve).
Students should enter the season prepared to run between 3-10 miles a day based upon their running history and ability level. Students are expected to attend practice daily, if they are unable to attend they should communicate with the coaches in advance. It is the expectation that all participants take care of their bodies to remain as healthy as possible. This means eating a variety of healthy (and green) foods, getting proper rest (in bed no later than 10pm), and maintain good academic standing.
