News · Summer Strength and Conditioning Options Now Available!

Here are all of the options available for Summer Strength and Conditioning.  All options will run from June 15-August 13.

Option #1 Continue a FREE Virtual Option with Weekly posting of workouts, once a week Zoom meeting with description of the workouts etc.  This will be a continuation of what started in early May with workout plans and video demonstrations put together by Coach Rainey, Coach Swanson and Coach Habeck.  This option will also include a once a week Zoom Meeting to check-in and go over workouts for the next week.  Workouts can be completed at home on your own with little to no equipment required.  If interested in this option a sign-up google form will be sent out next week.  Contact kurt.habeck@district196.org with any questions.

Option #2 We will be starting an outdoor only (at least until we get clearance to use the weightroom which we do not anticipate happening before the end of July) option that will be completed in pods of 10 or less with max of 4 pods per football field 3 days a week option at the cost of $180 and is open to students entering grades 9-12 in the Fall of 2020.  Registration is now open at https://district196.feepay.com/  In order to ensure maximum safety in this setting all workouts will be done in consistent pods of 10 or less (same pods for the entire summer) and will follow all Safety Guidelines from the District 196 Pandemic Team including practicing safe physical distancing, all coaches will wear masks etc.  Workouts will involve mostly weight bearing exercises, but when equipment is used it will be wiped down between every use.  During registration athletes will select the time slots that work for them and groups will be formed accordingly.  Days will be Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays and time slots will be between 7:15-11.  Each session will be 75 minutes maximum in length.  Parents/Guardians will be expected to do a short “pre-screening” prior to sending their athlete each day.  No locker room or restroom facilities will be available and because we will be outdoors all sessions are weather dependent.  These workouts will be run by our Training Haus Performance Coach Shannon Rainey along with several members of the Eastview coaching staff.  If interested in this option participants MUST register on Fee Pay prior to Thursday, June 11th so pods can be set-up and times can be communicated.
