Boys Varsity Track · Boys Track 3rd at JV Conference Meet

The boys track and field team finished 3rd at today’s South Suburban JV Conference Championship meet. Standout performances for the Lightning include Angelo Paulucci who took first in the 100m and 400m races. Colby Rubischko took 3rd in the 400m. Seniors Matthew Morrison and Sam Weber had big PRs in the 800m. They raced each other down the home stretch, neck and neck, with Morrison just out leaning Weber 2:12 to 2:13. In the 3200m Ian Kenney took home second place while the freshman-sophomore tandem of PJ Lasota and Grant Piller finished 5-6 in the race.

In the field events Grant Griffitts took home second place in the triple jump and fourth place in the long jump. While in the pole vault Bennett Scheuring won the pole vault in a height of 11ft. Mateo Davis and Sam Erickson rounded out the scoring for the Lightning with 4th and 5th place finishes respectively.
