Boys Varsity Track · Boys Track Finishes 3rd at Home Meet


The boys track and field team finished in 3rd place at today’s home track & field meet. On a beautiful spring afternoon the lightning were lead by senior hurdler Brady Schlaefer who won the 110 high hurdles in a new PR time of 16.41 sec, Brady went on to finish 3rd in the 300 intermediate hurdles with a new personal best in that event as well of 44.1. Sophomore Cade Kloss and freshman Noah Landwer continued their dominance of the 400m with a 1-2 finish in the event respectively. Kloss’ time of 53.08 ranks him as the seventh fastest sophomore in school history while Landwer moved up to the 8th fastest freshman in the event with a time of 54.03. The sprint continue continued to lead the Lightning with strong performances in the 200m where the junior trio of Angelo Paulucci, Isaac Schiltz and Kole Peterson finished in 2nd, 3rd, and 5th place. Paulucci, Peterson and Landwer took 4th, 5th, and 7th in the 100m.

In the distance events freshman Hunter Dunne broke the 5 min barrier for the first time to lead the Lightning to a slew of PRs in the event.

In the field events junior Bennet Scheuring won the pole vault, tying his PR with a jump of 10 ft 6 in, while senior teammate Spencer Ness and sophomore Joshua Negussie took 3rd and 4th in the triple jump.
