Boys Varsity Track · Boys Track & Field Wins 5 Events at Home Meet

The boys track and field team held their first outdoor competition this afternoon at the Eastview High School Stadium. The team battled a combination of the cold, wind, and rain to win five events. The Lightning swept the first four spots in the boys 400 m with Cade Kloss (10th) leading the way in first with a time of 54.87. Isaac Schiltz (11th) finished in second, in third was Noah Landwer (9th), and finishing 4th was Colby Rubischko (10th). Noah also finished as the top freshman in the 200m today. The Lightning also took first in the mile with AJ Green (11th) winning in a time of 4:40.3, while teammate Ben Danner (12th) took third and Ian Kenney (11th) finished 6th. In his first 3200m sophomore Sam Setterlund came home with the victory in a time of 10:54.75, and, in the 800m Sam Morgenstern (11th) won with a commanding time of 2:03.65. In the field events Bennet Scheuring (11th) took first place in the pole vault with a jump of 10-6.

The Lightning are home again on Monday, April 8th when the 91th & 10th graders will be competing at the Eastview Stadium in the Light/Irish Invite at 4 pm.
