The post-season excitement for our Winter Sports teams continues…..here is the latest:

 

Girls Basketball: Congratulations to the Eastview Varsity Girls Basketball Team who qualified for the State Tournament for the eighth consecutive year and twelfth time in school history with their 42-41 win over Rosemount on Wednesday night! The girls received the #3 seed at State and will play on Wednesday, March 13th at Williams Arena in the State Quarterfinals vs. Forest Lake at 4:00 p.m.  Fan Buses will be leaving at 2:15 and are scheduled to be returning to EVHS by 6:30 p.m. or so if all goes as scheduled.  As a result of the game time there will be an early release/exempt absence process. CI and PI Hockey: Our CI Dakota Hawks advanced to the State Tournament as the #4 Seed from the North Division and will face top seeded South Washington County in the opening round on Friday, March 15th at 8:00 p.m. at Bloomington Jefferson.  The PI Hawks have also advanced to the State Tournament as the  #2 Seed from the South Division and will face Maple Grove on Friday Night in the opening round of the State Tournament at 5:00.  The CI and PI Hockey State Tourney will be held March 15-16 at Bloomington Jefferson.  Click here for the full CI bracket: http://www.mshsl.org/mshsl/showxmlbrackets.asp?tournid=2960&bracket=8038 and here for the full PI bracket: http://www.mshsl.org/mshsl/showxmlbrackets.asp?tournid=2961&bracket=8039 Go Hawks!

 

Boys Basketball: The boys basketball team won two Section Playoff Games this week over Henry Sibley 92-48 and over Park 83-81 to advance to the Section Championship Game on Thursday, March 14th at Farmington at 7:00 p.m. vs. Burnsville!  Tickets are $8 adults/$6 for students and Senior Citizens.  NO PASSES ARE ALLOWED.  The winner will advance to the State Tournament at Target Center March 20-23.

 

As our Winter Teams are wrapping up their seasons, some of our Spring Sports actually get underway tomorrow!
