News · MSHSL Post-Season Updates-Including the Football Team being STATEBOUND!

It was another exciting week in Eastview Athletics post-season competition.  Here is a brief recap of the different post-season events of this week only:


Boys Cross Country:  The boys cross country team wrapped up their incredible season at St. Olaf College on Saturday, November 3rd.  The team placed 8th out of 16 teams and were led by AJ Green and Gabe Mahlen who both had “All-State” finishes!  Click here for the full story:

Volleyball: The #3 seeded Lightning fell in the Section Semis on Tuesday, October 30th at #2 Seed East Ridge.  Congrats to the entire team on a great season!  Click here for a recap of that match


Football: The Lightning Football team upset #2 Seed East Ridge in the Section Championship 27-17 to advance to the State Tournament for the 7th time in school history! They will face undefeated Blaine on Thursday, November 8th at 7:00 at White Bear Lake High School.  The winner will advance to the State Semis to be played at US Bank Stadium.  Tickets will be on sale in the office this week.  Adult Tickets are $11 for this round and Student tickets (K-12) are $7.  There is no Senior Citizen discount and no passes of any kind are accepted at the State Tournament. There will be a FREE fan bus courtesy of the Football Boosters.  Anyone interested MUST pre-register on FeePay prior to Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.  There will be a Pep Band Send-off between 4:30-4:45 at the West Entrance on Thursday.  Here is a link to the full Class 6A Football Playoff Bracket:


Girls Swim and Dive:  The Lightning Girls Swim and Dive Team will compete in their Section Meet this week.  Swim Prelims are at 6:00 on Wednesday at Bluewater Aquatic Center.  Diving Prelims and Finals will be held on Thursday at Cottage Grove Middle School (PLEASE NOTE THE LOCATION CHANGE) at 6:00. Swim Finals are at 6:00 on Friday at Bluewater Aquatic CenterTicket costs for all rounds is $8 for adults and $6 for K-12 students and Senior Citizens.  No passes or district badges are accepted as this is a Section event.
