Game Recap

Eastview trounced the 2016 state champion Prior Lake lacrosse team on Tuesday night at Dan Patch Field. It was a hot and muggy evening with a threat of thunderstorms.

The game got off to a slow start with the first goal 3 minutes in. Noah Joseph scores on a pass from Jason Hill. Joe Stillings finds a pass from Noah Lindner for a goal at 5:47. First QTR ends with Eastview 2 and Prior Lake 0.

The action picks up in the second QTR. The Lakers score at 1:05. The Lightning answers 22 seconds later as Lindner scores on a feed from Stillings to make it 3-1 Eastview. At 4:28 Stillings will plow his way to behind the net where his pass will find Max Herzog wide open for a clear shot- goal Eastview! The Lakers retaliate with a couple goals to make it a 4-3 game. Noah Desrocher will slip inside to score at 8:14. Stillings gets the final goal of the QTR at 8:43. The half closes out with Eastview 6 and Prior Lake 3.

Third QTR is all Eastview. Joseph passes to Hill on the crease – hook shot Hill for goal at 0:50. Ten minutes will pass before Hill scores again on feed from Tyler MacDowell. Lindner rips one in on a pass from Joseph at 11:34. Third QTR Eastview 9, Prior Lake 3.

The first 5 minutes of the 4th QTR sees both teams trade possession. Prior Lake breaks free at 5:05 to get a clear shot into the net. Eastview will go man-down on penalty at 5:29 but Eastview’s rock solid defense prevents any scoring. Eastview will get 10th goal of the game at 6:25. Defenseman Porter Awad wins a key ground ball and runs coast to coast for the clear. He finds an opening at the net and shoots off-hand but the Laker goalie will deflect. Awad catches his own rebound to shoot again for goal! Prior Lake gets the last goal at 11:53. Final score Eastview 10, Prior Lake 5

Next Game is Thursday 5:30pm at home. Come on out and help us celebrate our seniors! Pre-game ceremony is at 5:10pm. Eastview (10-0) will hope to continue their perfect record against district rival Eagan (10-0). Both teams are undefeated this season and this should be an epic match up. We need you to cheer on your Lightning Boy’s lacrosse team!
