Game Recap

The Eastview girls lacrosse team lost to the Farmington Tigers 10-14 in a South Suburban Conference game. Farming the 6th ranked team in the state got the scoring started with two goals in the first three minutes of the game. Holly Sodomka would net the Lightning’s first goal of the game on a nice cut to the net where Allie Tuccitto found her with a nice pass. The Tigers would get back their two goal lead a minute and half later to lead Eastview 3 to 1 with 19:06 left in the first half. Marissa Munos would cut the lead to one goal just 20 seconds later. Mary Keating would be credited with the assist on the play. Keating would tie the score at 3 to 3 with 16:46 to play on a free position shot. Farmington would score the next three goals of the game over the next two minutes to take a 6 to 3 lead. Ally Hodgen would score with 12 minutes left in the ghalf when Keating found her in front of the goal after a nice cut. Sodomka would pull the Lightning to within one goal less than a minute later on a free position shot. The Tigers would score the next two goals to build back their three goal lead. Then with 7:28 left in the half, Munos would drive to the goal on a nice dodge from the top of the fan area to bring the score to 6 to 8. Farmington would answer back with the next two goals to take a 10 to 6 lead with a little over 2 minutes left in the half. Tuccitto would score with :09 left in the half on a free position goal to enter halftime trailing 7 to 10. Farmington would start quickly in the second half scoring three goals in the first seven minutes of the period. Keating got the Lightning on the board in the second half with 18:03 to play. With Eastview trailing 8 to 13, Munos would get free in front of the Tiger goal and finish off a nice pass from Tuccitto. Farmington would take back the momentum with the next goal with 15:35 left in the game. The two team’s defenses would settle in and hold each other scoreless for the next twelve minutes. The Lightning got a spark with a little more than three minutes left in the game. Hodgen would score when she made a nice move to goal and Tuccitto found her with a nice pass. That would bring the score to final mark of 10 to 14. The Eastview girls next travel to play Holy Angels Monday 5/15 at 4:45 PM.
