Game Recap

The Lightning boys won their first playoff game 89-63 over Park Tuesday night and advanced to play Rosemount in the section semi-finals. Eastview came out a little cold and fell behind 2-10, but a couple buckets from Jameson Bryan, a bucket from Brady Miller, a three from Tyler Worm, and a couple of threes from Mason Carpenter got the Lightning the lead that they would never give up. Eastview finished the half on a 9-0 run and took a 39-26 lead into the break. Park would rally in the second half to cut the lead to 7, but a couple threes from Bryan and Carpenter put an end to any hope for the Wolfpack. Bryan finished with 31 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Carpenter had 21 points and 4 rebounds. Miller had a huge all-around game with 11 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. Tate Machacek just missed a double/double with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Worm provided the spark with 5 first half points and 2 steals, while Essam Ibrahim had 4 points, 3 boards, an assist and steal. Will Barry provided a defensive presence including a block to go with his 2 points and 2 boards. Izaak Raspberry also had 2 points and a rebound. It was a good team win with great fan support. We’ll need all those fans Friday night at Farmington, 7:45 against the Irish. #OurMoment
