Game Recap
The Lightning boys traveled to SSC rival Rosemount and came away with a much needed victory. The first half was fast paced with the Irish taking a 5 point lead into the break. Rosemount came out of the locker room with a little fire and increased the lead to 14. The Lightning kept their wits though, and several players made big shots to turn the momentum. Mason Carpenter, Brady Miller, and Izaak Raspberry made big threeâs, Jameson Bryan made a couple of drives, and Will Barry attacked the glass. Bryan then reverse rolls and posted up for an and one to get within 2. Miller scored on a back cut to tie the game and was fouled after the shot. He made both free throws to put the Lightning up 2. Tate Machacek hit a couple free throws, and Miller sealed the victory at the line. Three Lightning were in double figures, led by Bryanâs 20, Millerâs 17, and Carpenterâs 12. Raspberry and Machacek had 6, and Barry 4. Machacek led the rebounding with 7, Bryan and Carpenter finished with 4. Bryan had 9 assists and 4 steals, while Carpenter added 3 steals of his own.
