The Eastview Lightning Girls Varsity basketball team was able to end the regular season on a high note as they took down the Apple Valley Eagles 70-49 on Friday night. The Lightning shot 49% from the field, including 50% from behind the 3 point arc. Eastview had a balanced attack on offense as 4 girls finished in double figures. The Lightning were led in scoring by Allie Pickrain who finished with 19 points. Pickrain also finished with a team high 6 assists, as well as grabbing 4 rebounds. Rachel Ranke followed with 16 points, 6 rebounds, and a team high 3 steals. Megan Walstad snatched another double-double as she finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Walstad also finished with 3 assists and 2 blocks. Andrea Abrams finished with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks for the Lightning. Macy Guebert finished with 5 points and 2 assists, while Emma Carpenter finished with 5 points as well. With that win, the Lightning are now 20-6 overall, and finished alone in 2nd place with a record of 14-4 in conference play.

Eastview returns to the court on Wednesday, March 1st as they open up Section play. The Lightning were given the #1 seed, and will face off against the #8 seeded Eagan Wildcats. Game is at 7:00 pm. Come out and cheer on the Lightning girls as they look to keep their season going! Go Lightning!

#4 Park vs. #5 Hastings
#3 Rosemount vs. #6 Burnsville
#2 Apple Valley vs. #7 Henry Sibley

*Section quarterfinal games are played at the high seed
*Section semi-finals will be played at 6:00 and 8:00 on Saturday, March 4th
*Section final will be played on Thursday, March 9th at 7:00.
*Both semi-finals and section championship rounds are both played at Hamline University
