Game Recap

The Eastview Lightning continued an improbable streak of four to zero wins last night against the Burnsville Blaze. This time the Lightning players put on a show with their favorite teachers in the crowd, for teacher appreciation night. Eastview jumped to an early lead with a goal by Taylor McGahn, assisted by senior, defender, Emma Mortenson. Just minutes later senior Haley Ford stretched the lead to two with a pass from Molly Beckman. Junior, Taylor McGahn got her second goal of the game minutes before halftime. This time it came from a beautiful pass by senior, Haley Challgren.

The defense and goaltending did a great job keeping the Blaze out of scoring range and from developing any real possession. Senior, Claudia Pueschner recorded another shut out and Junior, Olivia Johnson did a great job in the game’s final fifteen minutes. The game’s final goal came off a long range shot from Sophomore, Lauren Glas. Senior, Corinne Cole set Lauren up with a nice little drop off pass.

The Lightning travel to Prior Lake next Tuesday to take on the Lakers.
