Congratulations to the Eastview Boys Swim and Dive team on being Section Runner-ups at the Section 3AA Boys Swimming and Diving finals and to the five team members who advanced to the state meet.
The Eastview 200 medley team of Montgomery, Pekarek, Reinhardt, and Lutton won second place and will advance to the state meet. In addition, Pekarek won first place in both the 200 IM and the 100 breaststoke and will advance to state in those individual events. Kilen won first in diving section finals to advance, and also broke the school, pool and section 11-dive record.
A number of Eastview’s swimmers swam their best times of the year in section finals. In the 200 free, Gloege was 5th, Greseth came in 7th, and St. Clair 8th. In the 200 IM, J. Poppitz came in 9th and Steinback was 16th. Reinhardt won 4th place in the 100 butterfly and Montgomery came in 11th. In the 100 free, Gloege was 6th and Lutton 13th. Greseth came in 3rd and St. Clair 10th in the 500. The 200 free relay team of Pekarek, Gloege, Greseth, and Lutton took third, barely missing the state qualifying time. Reinhardt took firth in the backstroke. Poppitz came in 7th in the breaststroke, Lambert was 11th, and Steinback 16th. The 400 relay team of Gloege, Greseth, St. Clair, and Reinhardt came in 4th. In diving section finals, Sulistyo won 8th place and Tigner 21st.
