Multiple Teams · Eastview Girls Basketball Defeats #6 Bloomington Kennedy

Eastview Lightning defeated South Suburban Conference rivals Bloomington Kennedy Thursday night, January 16, by a score of 65-54. The 2013 state semifinal rematch game lived up to its expectations, with lead changes and outstanding plays and Eastview leading at half time, 33-26.

In front of an enthusiastic crowd, the Eastview Varsity Girls Basketball team, improved their record to 14-0. Leading in the assist column were Emee Udo with 7 and Erika Schlosser with 5. Udo also led in rebounding with 6, followed by Madison Guebert with 5. Leading all scorers was Guebert with 26, Kari Opatz and Hana Metoxen with 10 each, and Rachel Ranke with 9.

These two teams will be meeting again on February 13 at Bloomington Kennedy. It will certainly be an exciting rematch. The Lightning will play away at Bloomington Jefferson on Tuesday, Jan 22nd.
