Multiple Teams · PI Adapted Soccer is State Runner-up!

The PI Dakota Hawks entered the State Tourney as the #1 undefeated seed from the South Division and showed everyone they were worthy of that honor with a great state tourney. They defeated Park Center 14-3 in the open round and Anoka-Hennepin 6-0 in the State Semis on Saturday morning at Stillwater High School. That set-up in the classic state championship game where the Hawks took on undefeated and #1 seed from the North Division the Robbinsdale Robins. The Robins were the 5 time defending state champs in PI Soccer, but the Hawks gave them everything they could. The Hawks rallied from down 3-2 to take a 4-3 lead late in the second half. The Robins tied it at 4 with just 2 minutes remaining and scored the game winner with 40 seconds left. The Hawks had LOTS to be proud of in yet another incredible season that finished 12-1 and State Runner-up. A photo of the Eastview members of the Dakota Hawks PI team is attached. Our own Ben Okke was the team’s second leading scorer in the tourney with 5 goals and 2 assists on the weekend! Way to go Hawks!
